Plan-It Plate
A collaborative initiative to design the user interface for a conceptual app, Plan-It Plate. The primary goal of Plan-It Plate is to give college students better insight into their eating habits while promoting cost-saving strategies through better organization of purchased food. The app also features a community-driven platform allowing students to trade or donate food items, thereby reducing food waste and fostering financial savings.

Reflection:
Although the original focus of Plan-It Plate was not exclusively on UI and design, I took the opportunity to enhance my design skills by undertaking an individual redesign of the project. This process allowed me to engage in both collaborative problem-solving and independent design decision-making. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of balancing functionality with aesthetics in a project.

Low-Fidelity Wireframes
Goals:
establish necessary function of app
basic navigation and mapping. Navigation was a big challenge leading us to constantly tweak the layout in order to be the most intuitive.
Result: Log-in page, explore page, current inventory, community page
Group Product
The primary deliverable for the presentation focused on the app's core concept and features. The user interface of Plan-It Plate was secondary. During the presentation, we demonstrated the app's functionality and highlighted how it would enhance college students' eating habits while offering cost-saving benefits. We also discussed its potential impact on our campus community.
Feedback Recieved:
Lack of adequate spacing
Difficulty reading based on color choices
Icons throughout the site are too large
Final Product
Although we received valuable feedback on our UI after the group project, there was insufficient time to incorporate those suggestions. I took the initiative to restructure and redesign Plan-It Plate as an individual project.
Updated color theme
Made minor changes to various features in order to better meet the needs of a potential user
Result: A higher fidelity, individual design of Plan-It Plate
